1. في مقلاة على نار متوسطة تقلى البصلة المبشورة في الزيت حتى تذبل ثم يضاف كبد الدجاج ويقلب وأخيرا يضاف الارز والبهارات والفلفل ويقلب الخليط كله معا ثم يضاف فنجان الماء، وتترك الحشوة على نار هادئة حتى يتشري الرز الماء..
2. لتحضير سلق الدجاجة: توضع كل مكونات السلق في طنجرة عميقة وتوضع على نار مرتفعة حتى تغلي.
3. يوضع مقدار مناسب من الحشوة في بطن الدجاجة مع عدم الإكثار، تغلق الدجاجة بعود أسنان خشبي وتوضع بسائل السلق وتترك لمدة 45 دقيقة حتى تنضج ثم يضاف الملح وتترك 10 دقائق أخرى..
4. نخلط كل مكونات التحمير معا وندهن بها الدجاجة ثم توضع تحت الفرن العلوي حتى تكتسب لونا..
